I would rather say WHAT CAN IT COST YOU?? If you don't REPAIR it the right way. The Water valve or water shut-off valve.
So that the valve doesn't leak and or cause a flood. Or starts a slow water leak underneath a cabinet. And goes unnoticed for awhile. And can cause some serious WATER DAMAGE.
EITHER WAY suffice to say that sometimes using some. Foresight (if I might say) of the consequences. Is something to think about.
Food for Thought.. (Something to think about??)
Would you change your CAR BRAKES with the guy who works at a factory during the week and can work on your car on the weekend??
Would you have your tooth checked out by a backroom unlicensed dentist??
Would You have Surgery with a backroom unlicensed doctor?
So see My Friend it's not just what it costs for a plumber to have the work performed in a professional manner. But RATHER WHAT IT CAN COST if You don't have a professional do the work.
And no I am not talking about a botched surgery or faulty brake work.
I have came across many repairs that were done by handymen, and just people trying to do it themselves. And after spending several hours, and money. Trying to fix a water leak Faucet installation, toilet removal and replacement.etc.. Were unable to. Let alone the Peace of Mind you will get when done by a professional, someone who does it on a daily basis.
Like installing Kitchen faucets. If not done properly can start leaking or begin to leak when your not at home.
P.s. To repair a water shut-off underneath a sink around a 100. bucks. Plus parts. Plus KINDLY READ THE FOLLOWING ABOUT ESTIMATES.
There again I always give FREE Estimates. So I would Recommend. You get at least Three Estimates. Maybe even over the phone or take a picture of the problem and send it to the plumbing contractor. So they can give you an idea of the cost?
And look for someone who has an excellent record. Maybe is A+ RATED on the B.B.B. and is 5 STAR Rated on the Internet and maybe has Awards for EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. That is if your going to look Online.
